YoungTeam visits packaging films manufacturer SÜDPACK

Mid-November, rose plastic AG's trainees went on an excursion. The destination was SÜDPACK, a Europe-wide manufacturer of film packaging solutions, based in Ochsenhausen, in the district of Biberach.

SÜDPACK and rose plastic are not only linked by their geographical proximity. The two company groups also have many other things in common: both are traditional and very successful family-owned companies that are active in the production of high-quality plastic packaging solutions.Furthermore, both attach great importance to the qualified training of the next generation of employees. Ms. Lea Rothenhäusler, training officer at rose plastic AG in Hergensweiler, thought it would be a profitable to get together, exchange experiences and give each other insights. Said, done: One phone call was enough, at SÜDPACK they were also enthusiastic about the idea and they immediately invited the the YoungTeam to their headquarters in Ochsenhausen in the district of Biberach.

Comprehensive insight into production facilities
During the visit SÜDPACK's training manager Stephanie Würfl informed the guests from Hergensweiler in detail about the work of the Europe-wide operating group of companies with about 1,600 employees, their product portfolio and the different processes for the production of film packaging. The YoungTeam then had the opportunity to take a look at the production halls themselves and get to know the film production in practice. The subsequent visit to the technology center was particularly enjoyable for the prospective process mechanics, who were able to take a close look at the film packaging machines and test them extensively.

The visit to Ochsenhausen was not only very instructive, but also a lot of fun for the rose plastic YoungTeam, according to the tenor of the trainees. And therefore, training officer Lea Rothenhäusler is already organizing the return visit of the SÜDPACK trainees at rose plastic in Hergensweiler. (fv)
